Questions & Answers
Whether you are visiting for the first time or considering making this your church home, here are answers to the questions we hear most. If yours isn’t here, reach out — we’d love to help.
Visiting for the First Time
You can expect warm, Bible-centered worship and verse-by-verse teaching. We open with worship, move into the Word, and close in prayer. Come as you are — there is no dress code, and you will be welcomed at the door.
Sunday Worship is at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Friday Lunch & Learn Bible Study meets at 12:00 NOON. Discipleship Groups meet in homes and by ZOOM throughout the week.
We meet at 1234 Highland Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70808. Parking is available on site, and a greeter will point you to the sanctuary and the Discipleship Desk.
Yes. Children are welcome in the service, and we offer age-appropriate discipleship for younger believers. Stop by the Discipleship Desk before or after service and we will help you find the right class or group.
No. Our services, Bible studies, and discipleship groups are open to everyone. Membership is a commitment, not a ticket in the door — come and grow with us first.
Worship & Teaching
Worship matters to us, but it is the doorway — not the destination. Our worship is heartfelt and Spirit-led, preparing the heart to receive the Word. We sing, we pray, and we open the Scripture together.
We teach from the King James Version (KJV) and hold to the complete Word of God as the authority governing and directing our lives. Great Worship, Great Word.
Bishop Ivory D. Payne teaches verse-by-verse through the Scripture. The pulpit is a place of instruction, and the goal of every message is obedience, not applause.
Yes. Downloadable sermon notes are available in our Sermon Notes library, so you can study along and revisit the teaching throughout the week.
Membership & Discipleship
Membership is not a formality — it is a commitment to walk with this family in the Word, in worship, and in mission. It is for believers ready to be taught, formed, and sent.
Start by filling out the membership interest form. A leader will follow up to walk you through the next steps, including a membership conversation and an introduction to the discipleship path.
Our path is Make, Mature, and Multiply — coming to Christ, growing in the Word, and learning to disciple someone else. Stop by the Discipleship Desk to join a class or group; you do not have to be a member.
No. Classes and discipleship groups are open to everyone. Stop by the Discipleship Desk before you leave and we will help you find a group that fits where you are.
That is the goal. We train and send every believer to disciple another — here in Baton Rouge and to the ends of the earth. As you grow, you will be equipped to lead and teach.
Baptism & Next Steps
Baptism is a step of obedience for every believer who has trusted Christ. If you are ready or simply have questions, let us know at the Discipleship Desk or through the contact page and we will walk with you.
Start with Friday Lunch & Learn or a discipleship group. No background is assumed — we teach verse-by-verse with time for questions, so you can grow at your own pace.
Yes. Volunteers do not have to be members. If you have a heart to serve, fill out the volunteer interest form and a leader will help you find a place to plug in.
Giving & the Church
A tithe is a tenth of your income returned to the Lord through the local church — an act of trust and obedience rooted in His Word (Malachi 3:10, KJV).
An offering is a gift given above the tithe, toward a specific ministry, need, or fund as the Lord leads you to give.
You can give online, by text-to-give, in service, or by mail. Visit the Give page to start a secure gift or to set up a recurring tithe.
Impact Christian Center is a Kingdom training ground — where rejection ends and purpose begins. We are connected to the Greater New Birth Full Gospel Fellowship and share in that broader work of the Gospel.
Reach us through the Contact page, by email at hello@impactbr.org, or by phone at (225) 555-0123. A leader will be glad to help.
Still Have Questions?
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
