In life we can become overwhelmed with responsibilities. We can feel crushed by the pressures of life. We can become stuck because we don’t know what the future holds and our only hope is to turn to God. Even then, there are times in life that we don’t feel that real connection with God. Here are three way to start, repair and/or maintain your connection with God.
Ever felt over looked? Maybe you felt that you had an answer to a persons problem, but they would not come to you to get help? Sometimes God feels like this. He wants us to know He is there for us. When we acknowledge God, we allow God to know that we know He exists and is able to assist us in all that we face. (Hebrews 11:6)
Talk to God
Prayer is a simple, yet powerful tool that will instantly connect you with God. The Bible tells us that God is looking to hear from you. He is not looking to condemn you. He is longing for a conversation with you. Tell God what you are going through. Tell God that you need Him. Tell God where you have slipped. Tell God where you feel like you failed. No matter where you are or what you are in His ears are open to your prayer. (I John 5:14)
Get involved with the things of God
I know we all know that going to church is a good thing. But getting involved in some activities at church can really boost your connection to God. For example, attending weekly services will allow you to learn more about God, it will allow you to discover and develop your spiritual gifts. It can assist in unlocking and nurturing your purpose. (Ephesians 4:16)
It’s not about just coming, but getting what you need in order for God to get you where He created you to be and putting you in a position to share your gifts and talents with others. There is no greater satisfaction than knowing you are fulfilling God’s perfect plan for your life.
